Natural healing for anxiety with homeopathy and kinesiology

  • Do you feel anxious from time to time?
  • Do you feel worried, nervous or uneasy about day-to-day things?
  • Are you increasingly stressed?

We all feel anxious from time-to-time and a certain amount of anxiety about life events is normal. But how anxious you get and what triggers it varies greatly from person to person. And, unfortunately, anxiety is becoming more widespread, due to our increasingly stressful lifestyles.

Thankfully, natural help is at hand with homeopathy and kinesiology. Read on to find out more.

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is defined as a feeling of worry, nervousness or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. It is a natural reaction to situations we find stressful, where we respond with “fight or flight”.

Fight or flight response

The concept of “fight or flight” comes from our ancient ancestors who, when faced with predators, literally had to stay and fight or run away. In such a situation, your body goes into survival mode, both physically and mentally, so you can perform better under pressure. The stress created can be helpful, so that you can better cope with the threat.

Fortunately, today you are not very likely to be faced with bears, lions, tigers or other predators in the same way our ancestors were. But, there are plenty of other things in daily life to cause you stress and your body will produce the same survival response whether the threat is real or not.

Anxiety has a strong effect on you because it’s one of your natural survival responses. It causes your mind and body to speed up to prepare you to respond to an emergency.

Stress triggers

Life is full of potentially stressful events and it is normal to feel anxious about some everyday things. But when a single trigger, or more likely a number of triggers, raises your stress levels to higher than normal, anxiety can set in.

Many things can increase your anxiety levels including exams, work deadlines, how you think you look, going on a first date, feeling safe travelling home late at night… the list could go on.

We are all individuals, so what causes anxiety in you won’t necessarily be a trigger for another person.

Stress reactions and impact

You might recognise some of these physical reactions to stress:

  • rapid and/or irregular heartbeat
  • fast breathing
  • weakened or tense muscles
  • sweating
  • churning stomach or loose bowels
  • dizziness
  • dry mouth

Anxiety also has a psychological impact, which can include:

  • trouble sleeping
  • lack of concentration
  • feeling irritable
  • feeling depressed
  • loss of self-confidence

Examples of anxiety disorders include:

  • panic attacks
  • phobias
  • generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
  • obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

What causes anxiety?

Because everyone is different, the causes of anxiety will vary from person to person. What you’re worried about and how you react when feeling apprehensive will affect you, as will a number of other factors, including:

  • your genes and gender
  • how you were brought up
  • your life experiences
  • the way you learn and cope with things

Knowing what makes you anxious and why is the first step to managing your anxiety. Then, we can use kinesiology and homeopathy to help you restore the imbalances your anxiety is causing.

What can kinesiology and homeopathy do to help?

Physical or mental imbalances (or both) in your body will cause anxiety. As your body’s systems are all connected, we need to ensure that each system is working efficiently.

For anxiety and stress, your endocrine system and adrenals will be the most affected, which can have a knock-on effect to your nervous system.

By using kinesiology muscle testing, I’ll identify where the imbalances are and use homeopathy to restore the balance. When the blockage or imbalance has been identified, we’ll clear it using kinesiology techniques, the right nutrition, remedies or lifestyle changes.

How I help you overcome anxiety

I always provide a safe, non-judgemental space to help you talk, no matter what condition you are seeing me for. For anxiety sufferers, providing a relaxing, calm and stress-free environment is especially important.

Investigating the root causes and triggers for your anxiety are key to helping you overcome it, so we investigate these during your appointment and I will then tailor your treatment accordingly.

Along with kinesiology, anxiety responds really well to EFT to help you dissolve your anxious feelings. EFT can be used at home when you’re faced with overwhelming anxiety, so I will give you some guidance on what to do. I’ll also provide you with appropriate homeopathic remedies to treat your anxiety.
